Maria Helena Vieira Barreto, a resident of Travessa do Lombo das Terças, Ponta do Sol, passed away on January 7, 2026. Her funeral is scheduled for January 8, 2026, starting at the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça and proceeding to the chapel of São Caetano Cemetery. A memorial mass will take place on January 11, 2026, at the Santa Maria Maior Church in Funchal.

Piedade Sabino Ferreira Ferro Alves, who lived on Estrada Regional 101, Seixal, also passed on January 7, 2026. Her funeral is planned for January 8, 2026, beginning at the Hospital dos Marmeleiros and moving to the Santo Antão Church, followed by burial in the local cemetery. A seventh-day mass will be held on January 11, 2026, at the same church.

Gildo Pinto de Andrade, a resident of Caminho do Trapiche, Santo António, passed away on January 7, 2026. His funeral took place on the same day at the Santo António Cemetery. Gildo was a respected figure associated with the Ordem Hospitaleira São João de Deus and the Casa de Saúde São João de Deus, where he was cared for with dedication by the team during his final days.
