The new diploma outlines changes to the employment terms of teachers, specifically targeting the tenure of temporary contracts. It proposes a maximum limit of three consecutive years for fixed-term contracts with the regional government’s education department, after which teachers would have the opportunity for permanent positions.
Furthermore, the legislation seeks to address long-standing issues regarding the recognition of service time for teachers.
