Feira das Vontades brings about 70 charities to central Funchal from 10 November
Madeira GuideFunchal's 23rd volunteering fair runs from 10 to 14 November in the city centre, with charity stalls, stage shows and guest artists.
About 70 institutions from the region that work in volunteering and community support will set up at the Placa Central and the Largo da Restauração in Funchal from 10 to 14 November for the 23rd Feira das Vontades.
The Associação Casa do Voluntário promotes the fair. A committee that includes the Direção Regional de Juventude, the Madeira branch of the Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro, Garouta do Calhau, Causa Social, Casa de Saúde Câmara Pestana and Casa São José organises it with the association. The fair started in 2003.
Participants include Cáritas Diocesana do Funchal, ACAPO, the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Funchal, Machico and Calheta and the animal protection society SPAD, according to DN Madeira. The institutions will also perform on stage, alongside guest artists.
