Miguel Nunes, navigated by João Paulo, has claimed victory in the 67th edition of the Madeira Rally, marking his second career win six years after his first triumph.

In a thrilling return to the top, Miguel Nunes, alongside co-driver João Paulo, emerged victorious in the 67th edition of the Madeira Rally this past Saturday. The rally, a celebrated event in the regional motorsport calendar, saw Nunes clinch his second career victory, echoing his past success in 2020.

Driving a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, Nunes secured his win during the final stretch at the iconic Lameiros stage. His adept handling and strategic navigation allowed him to maintain a lead over his competitors, despite intense challenges.

The rally is a significant event for the local community and motorsport enthusiasts, drawing large crowds to Madeira. The competition covers various challenging terrains, with the Ponta do Pargo stage being particularly demanding. Here, British driver Kris Meeke made a notable impression, clocking the fastest time in a critical leg of the race.
