Madeira Island is experiencing a Yellow Alert due to strong northeast winds, with gusts reaching up to 110 km/h in mountainous areas, as forecasted by the IPMA.

The island of Madeira is currently under a Yellow Alert, as announced by the Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA), due to the forecast of strong northeast winds. These winds are expected to reach gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour in the eastern and western extremities and up to 110 kilometers per hour in the mountainous regions.

The Yellow Alert, the least severe on a scale of three, indicates a potential risk for certain activities that depend on weather conditions. This alert is set to remain in effect until at least 9 PM.

Madeira, a popular tourist destination known for its stunning landscapes and mild climate, is experiencing these weather conditions as part of a broader pattern affecting the region. Residents and tourists are advised to exercise caution, particularly in outdoor areas exposed to the wind.
