Human resources experts from Grupo Pestana offer invaluable insights to students at Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz on successfully preparing for their upcoming internships.

In a bid to bridge the gap between education and the workforce, Grupo Pestana's human resources team, consisting of Sandra Rodrigues and Andres Abreu, engaged with students at Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz to prepare them for their mandatory internships. This initiative is crucial for students pursuing the Curso de Educação e Formação (CEF), which requires a 210-hour internship for completion.

The session, held at the school often referred to as 'Liceu', was organized by the Curso de Informação e Animação Turística (CEF6C2) to enlighten 25 students on effective workplace practices. These students are set to begin their internships in various Pestana Group hotels from June 1 to July 15, benefiting from the longstanding partnership between the school and the group.

Additionally, students from the Curso Técnico de Gestão do Ambiente (CEF6C1) attended the session, broadening their understanding of workplace expectations and future career opportunities with Grupo Pestana. The collaboration underscores the group's commitment to fostering local talent and providing them with a platform to gain practical experience in a dynamic industry.

Grupo Pestana, which originated in Madeira in 1972, has grown into a global hospitality leader, with over a hundred hotels worldwide. This expansive network offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a robust professional environment, gaining critical insights and connections that could shape their future careers.
