The Citizen's Office, known locally as Loja do Munícipe, in Funchal has recently marked its ninth anniversary. In 2025, the office recorded a remarkable 76,860 services provided to the residents and tourists of Madeira, reflecting its pivotal role in the community.

This milestone was celebrated on March 28, with an acknowledgement of the office's efficiency and dedication. It operates under the supervision of Diogo Gomes, the city councillor responsible for human resources at the Funchal City Council. His visit to the office underscored the importance of continuous improvement in public service delivery.

In the first quarter of 2026 alone, the Citizen's Office has already seen 20,550 visitors, with an average waiting time of just 6 minutes and 19 seconds. This efficiency highlights the office's commitment to providing timely and effective services, crucial for both locals and the many tourists who visit Madeira.
