After a three-month hiatus for expansion and modernization, the Funchal Cable Car, operated by Madeira Cable Car, is set to reopen on April 2. This popular attraction now boasts an innovative 'Glass Floor Experience', making it the only cable car in Portugal with such a feature.
The Funchal Cable Car, a key tourist attraction, offers breathtaking views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. The new glass floor addition allows visitors a unique perspective, enhancing the overall experience.
In a separate development, the Loja do CidadĂŁo in Funchal will be closed on April 4 due to a public holiday granted by the Regional Government. Services are expected to resume on April 6, providing various governmental services to residents.
Furthermore, from April 14 to 18, the Madeira Rum Festival will take place on Avenida Arriaga. This festival is a celebration of the island’s unique agricultural rum. Attendees can enjoy rum tastings, meet local producers, and participate in masterclasses and a photography contest.
