Dorum Mobiliário has opened a new facility in Machico, Madeira, marking an important step for the brand's expansion. The company plans to leverage Madeira's economic growth and the benefits of the International Business Centre of Madeira (CINM) to further its international reach.

Dorum Mobiliário, a new brand under a group that operates a factory in Paços de Ferreira, officially opened its new facility in Machico, Madeira, on May 7, 2026. The inauguration was attended by the President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, and the Secretary of Economy, José Manuel Rodrigues.

Miguel Albuquerque emphasized the significance of this investment for Madeira's economy, highlighting the island's impressive economic growth over the past 59 months, which exceeds the national average. This economic dynamism, he noted, is a crucial factor for attracting foreign investments like Dorum Mobiliário.

The company aims to take advantage of the incentives offered by the International Business Centre of Madeira (CINM) to fuel its international expansion plans. Following the opening in Machico, Dorum Mobiliário plans to extend its operations to Madrid, Spain.

Machico, known for its picturesque landscapes and historical significance as the landing place of the first Portuguese explorers, provides a strategic location for Dorum Mobiliário's expansion. The area is not only a hub for local business but also a growing tourist destination, which could benefit the company.

The opening of Dorum Mobiliário in Machico is expected to create job opportunities and stimulate local economic activity, aligning with the government's goals to enhance Madeira's business landscape.
