The only ten-pin bowling on Madeira: four lanes inside the Camacha Shopping centre, with pool tables, darts and arcade machines beside them.
There is no bowling in Funchal at all, so this is it for the whole island. Four lanes is few enough that a group waits at a busy hour, but the pool and the arcade machines are what turn a twenty-minute game into an evening. House balls run from six to twelve pounds, so a small child has something they can actually lift. It is a bowling alley with a bar, not a restaurant - people who arrive expecting dinner leave unhappy.
Worth knowing: Camacha is fifteen kilometres out of Funchal and the bus service is thin; reviewers who tried it without a car say so repeatedly. Opening times are contested - one listing says from midday, another from two in the afternoon - so check the Facebook page before driving. Closing is 22:00, and midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Opening hours
The operator publishes no opening hours. Phone before you drive.
Prices
The operator publishes no tariff. Reviewers record about 5 € a game per person and 50 cents for darts, and a happy hour between 19:30 and 20:30 - none of it confirmed by the alley itself.
Getting there
Prices and opening times change without notice, and on this island they change often. Everything here carries the date it was checked in our research notes; if a place has moved or closed, tell us and we will fix it.
