Funchal's original escape room on Rua da Fábrica, an hour-long mystery set in Zarco's day. It has stopped.

Zarco's Chamber took two to five players for an hour, and reviewers liked that the story was local rather than off the shelf. The substantive reviews stop around 2019, nothing dated after 2020 survives a search, there is no booking page and no social account left, and the escape-room aggregators that still list Funchal list Crypticroom and not this. One old review is titled 'Oh dear, no-one turned up', which reads differently now.

Worth knowing: Crypticroom at Vale da Ajuda is the working escape room in Funchal - but its rooms are horror and its floor is twelve, so it is not a swap for a family with small children.
