Skate Parque do Almirante Reis
Funchal

- Outdoors
- From 5
- Children free
- Just turn up
A free street-skate park of about 900 m² in Funchal's old town, next to the cable-car base station, with rails, a step-up, a pyramid and several funboxes.
An independent European skatepark database calls it the best on the island, and it mixes beginner and advanced obstacles on one concrete run by the seafront. There is no gate, no ticket and no posted hours, and cafés and restaurants of the Zona Velha are all around it. Bring your own board - nothing is hired here.
Worth knowing: It is a two-minute walk from the cable-car station, so it pairs with a morning in Monte: the child who has sat through the gardens gets an hour on the ramps afterwards.

The operator publishes no opening hours. Phone before you drive.

Getting there
Prices and opening times change without notice, and on this island they change often. Everything here carries the date it was checked in our research notes; if a place has moved or closed, tell us and we will fix it.
