A guesthouse and federation-certified surf school in the middle of Porto da Cruz, teaching two-hour lessons on the village beach break.
This is the surf-camp end of the village: a renovated guesthouse run by two local surfers, aimed at people staying a week rather than a family doing one lesson. The prices are the lowest published in Porto da Cruz and the lesson gives a full two hours in the water, but the school publishes no minimum age and runs no junior programme, so it works for a teenager and not for a six-year-old - for whom the school two streets away takes children from three.
Worth knowing: The price is per person for two hours in the water, not per hour, which undercuts the schools quoting a shorter lesson for more money. Two mobiles are published; the site and the Facebook page give different email addresses.

The operator publishes no opening hours. Phone before you drive.
Prices
Group lesson 50 € a person, private lesson 100 €. Board hire 25 € up to four hours, 35 € up to eight, with a 150 € deposit. No child rate.
