Lokoloko Madeira - Coasteering

Scrambling, swimming and jumping along the volcanic coast at Caniço, with snorkelling in the Garajau reserve and a finish at the lido.

The operator contradicts itself about the minimum age inside one article: the FAQ answers eight, the body of the same page says it suits most people from twelve. Neither figure is safe to plan on - ask which applies to your child before you book. The session builds jump heights gradually and the company is explicit that nobody is pushed, with a lower option or a swim-in alternative at every point; the top jump is nineteen or twenty metres depending on the tide, which is not what an eight-year-old will be doing.

Worth knowing: It ends in the same lido as the kayak tour, and entry is included, so pack for a swim afterwards rather than driving home wet. No telephone number is published - the booking widget and the site are the channels.

Getting there

Prices and opening times change without notice, and on this island they change often. Everything here carries the date it was checked in our research notes; if a place has moved or closed, tell us and we will fix it.
