Fuel Prices to Rise Significantly Next Week in Madeira

Fuel prices in Madeira are set to increase significantly starting next Monday, as confirmed by José Manuel Rodrigues during the first meeting of the Economic Advisory Council at the Palácio do Governo Regional in Funchal. This increase will see petrol prices rise by 7 cents per liter while diesel, including colored and marked diesel used in the primary sector, will see a hike of 8.8 cents per liter.
Currently, petrol costs 1.790 euros per liter and will soon rise to 1.860 euros. Similarly, diesel will go from 1.808 euros to 1.896 euros per liter. The colored diesel, primarily used in agriculture and fishing, will increase from 1.375 euros to 1.456 euros.
Though these increases are significant, Rodrigues assured that the prices will still remain lower than those on mainland Portugal. This price adjustment reflects the ongoing fluctuations in international oil markets, impacting fuel prices globally.
