The largest of the Santa Cruz municipal playgrounds, on Rua da Praia right on the seafront promenade.

The council's own list gives it as 493.85 square metres with room for about 65 children, which by the standards of this island is a big municipal playground - though an independent listing still calls it small. It is on the flat promenade with cafés and esplanades within sight, and Praia das Palmeiras is next door. Equipment condition and opening hours are not published anywhere.

Worth knowing: Do it together with Praia das Palmeiras: the beach has a shallower child-sized saltwater pool separate from the main swimming area.
