A small shaded garden on Avenida Arriaga, ten minutes of bench and old trees between the cathedral, the market and the marina.

The name misleads a lot of families: despite what a garden called Municipal suggests, there is no playground and no play equipment of any kind here. What it does have is mature shade, a pond and a size small enough to let a toddler off the reins without losing sight of them. Nobody publishes opening hours for it.

Worth knowing: If the children need to actually play, walk on to Parque de Santa Catarina at the western end of the avenue - it has the playground this one does not.
