At around 11 AM on March 6, a car collided with a motorbike on the Via Rápida in Santa Rita, heading from Câmara de Lobos to Funchal. The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old woman, sustained injuries to her leg and arm and was taken to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for treatment.
Car Crash into Electricity Pole
Earlier that day, at approximately 9 AM, a young driver crashed his car into an electricity pole on Caminho das Quebradas, also in Santa Rita. The driver, who managed to exit the vehicle on his own, complained of neck pain and headaches. He was also transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for medical attention.
Car Fire on Access Road to Via Rápida
Two days prior, on March 4, a car caught fire on the access road to the Via Rápida from Pilar. The driver successfully extinguished the flames before the arrival of a heavy firefighting vehicle. No injuries were reported in this incident.
