In Camacha, a woman was struck by a vehicle near the Casa do Povo. She sustained injuries to her arm and was promptly attended to by the Bombeiros Sapadores de Santa Cruz before being transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.
Public Death in Santo da Serra
In a separate incident, a man in his 60s was found deceased on a public road in Santo da Serra. Emergency services suspect a fall caused the fatal head injury. The location was secured by the PSP for further investigation.
Assault at Pico dos Barcelos
A violent altercation occurred at the Conjunto Habitacional Pico dos Barcelos, where a 27-year-old woman was assaulted with a bottle, resulting in cuts to her head. She received immediate medical attention and was also taken to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça.
Tree Fall in Machico
Additionally, a fallen tree on the road between the golf course and Água de Pena caused traffic disruptions. Two firefighters were dispatched with a light vehicle to manage the situation and clear the road.
