Known for his kindness and devotion to his community, he leaves behind his wife, Maria Manuela Barros dos Reis, and his children and grandchildren. His funeral will occur on Wednesday, February 25, with a mass at the church of São Brás, followed by a procession to the local cemetery.
Remembering Manuel João Teixeira
Manuel João Teixeira, a cherished member of the Porto Moniz community, also departed on February 24, 2026. His family, including his children and grandchildren, will honor his memory with a service at the church of Santa Maria Madalena on Wednesday, followed by interment at the local cemetery. A 7th-day mass will take place on February 28.
