On March 1st, a 19-year-old pizza delivery driver was involved in a motorbike accident on Caminho do Desterro in Funchal. The young man suffered a fractured leg and was promptly attended to by the Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses before being transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.
Worker Injured by Trailer
Just days earlier, on February 28th, a 27-year-old worker was injured in Santa Rita when a trailer passed over his foot. The incident occurred on Caminho da Cova do Til, requiring immediate medical attention from the Bombeiros Sapadores do Funchal. The injured man was also taken to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça.
Cement Bags Cause Serious Injury
On February 3rd, a serious workplace accident occurred on Rua Vale da Ajuda in Funchal. A worker in his 30s was struck by multiple cement bags, rendering him unconscious. He was swiftly rescued and taken to the hospital, where he remained in critical condition.
