The Regional Section of Madeira of the Order of Engineers will celebrate the 2026 Regional Engineer's Day in Porto Santo, emphasizing engineering's role in sustainable development.

The Regional Section of Madeira of the Order of Engineers (RMOE) is set to celebrate the fourth edition of the Regional Engineer's Day (DRE 2026) on March 28th. This year's event will take place at the Porto Santo Congress Center, beginning at 3 PM.

The selection of Porto Santo, known as the 'Golden Island,' as the event's location is part of RMOE's activity program for the 2025-2028 triennium. The theme for this period, 'Engineering at the Service of Sustainable Development in Madeira,' aligns with the event's mission to highlight the critical role engineers and their innovations play in the region's sustainable growth.

Porto Santo, a part of the Madeira Archipelago, is renowned for its stunning sandy beaches and tranquil environment, making it a fitting backdrop for discussions on sustainability and development.

The event will gather engineers from various fields to discuss and showcase how engineering contributes to the region's ongoing development and sustainability. It serves as a platform for professionals to exchange ideas and foster collaborations aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Madeira.
