Pedestrian Accident in Camacha

A woman was struck by a vehicle near the Casa do Povo in Camacha. She sustained injuries to her arm and was promptly attended to by the Santa Cruz Fire Brigade before being transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.

Public Death in Santo da Serra

In an unrelated incident, a man in his sixties was found dead on the street at João Ferino, Santo da Serra. The preliminary investigation by the Santa Cruz Fire Brigade and PSP suggests that the man might have succumbed to a fall, as indicated by a head injury.

Assault in Funchal

Earlier in the day, a 27-year-old woman was assaulted with a bottle at the Pico dos Barcelos housing complex in Funchal. She suffered cuts to her head and was taken to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça. The local police were called to investigate the assault.

Tree Fall in Machico

The day also saw a road obstruction in Machico due to a fallen tree between the golf course and Água de Pena. The Machico Municipal Fire Brigade responded quickly, dispatching two personnel with a light vehicle to clear the road.
