Jorge Armindo da Luz, a beloved resident of Imaculado Coração de Maria, Funchal, passed away on March 7, 2026. His funeral took place on March 8 in the chapel of Nossa Senhora das Angústias cemetery, São Martinho, followed by a cremation. The family expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Marco Freitas and the orthopedics team at Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital for their care, particularly acknowledging nurse Ricardo.
Manuel Estêvão Fernandes Remembered
Manuel Estêvão Fernandes from Vereda do Colmeal, Curral das Freiras, passed on March 6, 2026. His funeral was held on March 7, starting from Hospital Dr. João Almada, with a procession to the church of Nossa Senhora do Livramento. Community members were encouraged to join via transportation provided from nearby areas, highlighting the close-knit nature of the community.
Honoring Audete de Jesus Andrade
Audete de Jesus Andrade, a cherished figure from Estrada da Murteira, Terra Chã, Curral das Freiras, also departed on March 6, 2026.
