Health programmes reach more than 3,100 users in Câmara de Lobos
Madeira GuideRegional family health support programmes have benefited more than 3,100 people in Câmara de Lobos over the past seven years.
Câmara de Lobos has the second-highest number of beneficiaries outside Funchal in the regional family support programmes.
The Kit Bebé programme has been in place since 2019 and has covered more than 1,600 newborns in Câmara de Lobos. Its card allows the purchase of health and wellbeing products at all pharmacies in the Region.
The +Visão Crianças e Jovens programme has been active since 2022 and has reached more than 660 users aged 0 to 14. +Visão Seniores has been in force since 2019 and has supported more than 618 residents with a subsidy of 150 euros for prescription glasses at participating opticians.
The +Sorriso oral health programme is aimed at children and young people aged 10 to 16 and has counted more than 270 beneficiaries since 2023. More than 3,100 users in Câmara de Lobos have benefited from health programmes over the last seven years. With more than 3,000 beneficiaries, Câmara de Lobos is one of the municipalities where IASAÚDE programmes have the greatest reach.

The information was released during celebrations of Câmara de Lobos' 191st municipal anniversary. IASAÚDE said it joined the commemoration and shared an institutional video about the date on its social-media channels.
