Funchal opens 2027 association support applications

Funchal City Council has opened applications for its Apoios ao Associativismo programme for projects and activities to be developed in 2027. Associations in the municipality of Funchal have until 30 September 2026 to apply.
The programme supports initiatives of community interest in the cultural, social and community areas. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the CMFOnline platform.
Projects will be assessed on their quality and interest, creativity and innovation, ability to secure other funding, potential number of beneficiaries and compatibility with the municipality's activity plan. Continuity, the quality of previous implementation and the consistency of the management project will also be considered.
Interested entities should consult official municipal channels for the rules, access conditions and required documentation. The municipality says the programme is intended to strengthen its relationship with the associative movement and help associations develop activities and projects contributing to the development of the municipality.
