Funchal, the capital of Madeira Island, will welcome the XVI Assembly of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal this Sunday, March 1. The event is organized by the Diocesan Service Team and will be held at the Colégio de Santa Teresinha.
Under the theme 'It is the Lord' (John 21:7), the assembly aims to bring together all prayer groups across Madeira and is open to any Christians wishing to deepen their faith. The highlight of the day will be a Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Bishop of Funchal, D. Nuno Brás.
The program is designed to offer a rich spiritual experience, featuring teachings, adoration, and Marian celebrations. Father Paulo Sérgio, the diocesan assistant for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, will be leading the spiritual activities.
Participants can purchase access badges for seven euros through the Diocesan Service Team, the Paulinas Bookstore, or local prayer groups. The event promises to be a day of unity, fraternity, and spiritual renewal.
