Elderly Man Recovers from Unconsciousness

At approximately 21:08, the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters were dispatched to Santa Luzia in Funchal. An 82-year-old man had fallen unconscious, prompting immediate medical attention. Upon arrival, the firefighters found the man regaining consciousness. He was subsequently transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further evaluation and care.

Car Fire Near the Highway Access

Earlier that afternoon, at around 21:00, the Funchal Firefighters responded to a car fire near the highway access from Pilar. The driver managed to extinguish the flames before the firefighters arrived, demonstrating quick thinking and action. A fire engine was present to ensure the situation was fully under control.

Young Woman Assaulted

In a separate incident, the Public Security Police (PSP) and Madeira Volunteer Firefighters were called to Rua Bela Santiago after a 25-year-old woman was assaulted. She received immediate care at the scene and was also transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for treatment. The assault is under investigation by local authorities.
