Two heated indoor pools, 20 m and 25 m, at the Clube Naval sports complex - the island's main children's swimming school, and open to non-members.

The enrolment rules say in writing that places in the swimming schools are open to members and non-members alike, with members simply paying 25 percent less. Babies start at six months, swimming with a parent in the water up to 35 months and without one from 36 months; the Delfins learning school runs from 4 to 11. This is lessons, not a splash-around: there is no play equipment and the timetable is a grid of class slots across both pools.

Worth knowing: Enrolment for the 2026/2027 year opened on 24 August for existing users and only on 27 August for new ones, so a family arriving in September is joining a waiting list rather than a class. Free swimming is advertised from 06:00, but no non-member drop-in price is published - ask before you count on it.

Prices

Swimming school 34.65 € a month for one session a week, 45.15 € for two or more; club members pay 25 percent less. The drop-in price for a single free swim is not published anywhere.

Season

The school year runs 1 September to 31 July, with breaks at Christmas, Carnival and Easter, so there are no children's classes in August. The pools themselves stay open on a reduced August timetable.
