Ribeira Brava holds the 11th Poncha and Honey Festival over the weekend of Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January 2027. Poncha is made from sugar-cane aguardente, honey and lemon, so the pairing makes sense. The listing gives no programme or opening hours. Practical information
Rodoeste buses run from Funchal along the south coast to Ribeira Brava; check the timetable, as weekend services are thinner. By car the VR1 expressway gets you there quickly, but someone has to stay off the poncha.
