Acrylic painting workshop at MUDAS in Calheta

A free two-hour workshop on acrylic painting on canvas runs on Saturday 7 November from 10:00 to 12:00 at MUDAS, the contemporary art museum of Madeira in Calheta. Participants take works from the museum's collection and the buildings and scenery around it as a starting point, and work on breaking down the visible image with acrylic techniques. Bring your own medium-sized canvas. It is open to young people from 12 and to adults, places are limited and you need to sign up beforehand by phoning 291 820 900. A good fit if you are already staying in the west of the island; less so as a reason to cross it.
