The 67th Funchal City Race takes place in Funchal on 28 December, from 20:00 to 22:00. The edition number alone says this is a fixture of the city's year, and the evening slot in the week between Christmas and New Year means a lot of people are in town to watch. The listing gives no course, start point or entry details, so look up the organiser's announcement nearer the date if you want to run or to find a good spot along the route.
Practical information
The race is in Funchal, but the listing gives no start point or course; expect road closures in the centre that evening and plan on walking rather than driving.
The listing says nothing about rain; races of this kind usually go ahead in wet weather, so bring a jacket.
