According to Albuquerque, the Regional Agricultural Product saw an impressive growth of 82%, while the Gross Value Added (GVA) increased by 68%. These figures are a testament to the significant strides made in boosting the sector's economic impact and productivity.
In 2024 alone, the Regional Agricultural Product reached 157.7 million euros, with the Gross Value Added standing at 78.1 million euros. This financial growth underscores the sector's vital role in Madeira's economy, contributing not only to local food production but also to the overall economic health of the region.
