The cruise liners and yacht are part of a bustling maritime itinerary that includes the Cruise Atlantic Islands (CAI) route, known for its week-long voyages through picturesque destinations in the Atlantic.

The 'Mein Schiff Relax' was the first to arrive, docking just before midnight and staying overnight in Funchal. The vessel carried 4,319 passengers and 1,429 crew members. It is scheduled to continue its journey to Santa Cruz de La Palma at 6 PM.

This influx of visitors is expected to generate approximately 17,000 euros in tourist taxes, a vital contribution to the island's economy. Madeira's port authority, APRAM, highlighted the significance of these visits, noting the positive impact on local businesses and services.
