The Centro Português de Caracas is set to invest €3 million in a new building to attract younger generations. The project aims to enhance cultural, educational, and sports facilities for the Madeiran community in Caracas.

The Centro Português de Caracas (CPC), a vital hub for the Madeiran diaspora in Latin America, has announced a significant investment of €3 million in a new infrastructure project. This initiative is part of a broader effort to engage younger generations and ensure the continuity of Madeiran cultural identity abroad.

The CPC will construct a four-story building equipped with modern facilities, including gyms, padel courts, a playground, study areas with classrooms, and spaces dedicated to music and arts. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year, enhancing the CPC's offerings.

This expansion was announced during a visit by Sancho Gomes, the Director of Regional Communities and External Cooperation. He emphasized the importance of the project in revitalizing the Madeiran community and adapting to the interests of younger members.

This is a hopeful sign that the younger generations will continue to embody Madeiran spirit and identity in the diaspora, ensuring our culture thrives beyond borders.

The CPC already boasts extensive facilities, including an amphitheater, football, tennis, and basketball courts, bowling lanes, and swimming pools. These developments aim to further solidify its role as a cultural and recreational centerpiece for Madeirans in Venezuela.

Martin de Abreu, the president of CPC, noted that the new building will complement existing amenities, reinforcing the club's capacity to serve its community and modernize its offerings.
