Suspected Fire in Funchal
In the early evening, the Funchal Fire Brigade was dispatched to an apartment in Bairro do Hospital following reports of a potential fire. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a forgotten pot on the stove was the cause, and the situation was promptly brought under control by the 15 firefighters present with five vehicles.
Accidents Involving Motorcyclists
Earlier in the day, two separate traffic accidents involving motorcyclists required immediate attention. In one incident on Rua da Quinta do Leme, a 36-year-old man suffered injuries to his ribcage and leg after a collision with a car. He was transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for treatment.
Another accident occurred in Santa Cruz, where a 43-year-old motorcyclist was injured on Estrada Santo António da Serra. Complaining of pain in his legs and arms, he too was taken to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça.
Street Altercation in Funchal
The early hours of the morning saw a violent altercation on Rua da Carreira, Funchal, resulting in three injuries. Two men, aged in their 50s and 60s, sustained head injuries, with one suffering from a scalp wound and the other from facial injuries due to a bite. A third victim, in his 30s, was found on Avenida do Mar with facial injuries and a suspected fractured nose caused by a kick.

In an unrelated event earlier in the year, a man in his 40s was found deceased near Madeira Tecnopólo. Authorities ruled out sudden illness and criminal activity, leaving the cause of death undetermined.
