Application Period and Process
The first phase for applications to the National Contest for Access to Public Higher Education runs from July 20 to August 6, 2026, with a deadline of July 27 for special contingents and exam substitutions. Available Scholarship Options
Students from the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) have access to three levels of support: Republic scholarships managed by the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES), Regional Government scholarships managed by the Office of Higher Education (GES), and municipal scholarships, each provided by local councils.
