Maria de Jesus Leitão Gouveia Ladeira, hailing from Estreito da Calheta, was laid to rest on June 10, 2026. Her funeral took place at the Church of Nossa Senhora da Graça, Estreito da Calheta. The Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários da Calheta, where her son serves, extended their condolences, highlighting her impact on the community and her family's involvement in local emergency services.

Maria Celina de Sousa, a resident of São Martinho, was mourned by her family and friends on June 10, 2026. Her funeral began from Hospital Dr. João de Almada and concluded at Nossa Senhora das Angústias Cemetery with a cremation service. The family has expressed heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça and Dr. João de Almada for their compassionate care.
