Edgar Silva expressed deep concerns over the abandonment and degradation of public schools and other infrastructures in various councils, including Câmara de Lobos. He criticized the government for turning these spaces into what he described as "junkyards."
The CDU emphasized the need for a comprehensive regional plan to revitalize and utilize these public assets effectively. Silva pointed out that while exorbitant rents are being paid for alternative spaces, the Garachico school remains unused, a symbol of governmental negligence.
