This meeting was a continuation of the ongoing dialogue process between the regional government and various social partners.
Presided over by Paula Margarido, the Regional Secretary for Inclusion, the meeting gathered representatives from trade unions, employers' associations, and included key regional secretaries such as Eduardo Jesus, responsible for Tourism, Environment, and Culture, and Nuno Maciel, in charge of Agriculture and Fisheries.
The meeting underscored the importance of collaborative governance in addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by Madeira. Such dialogues are crucial for fostering mutual understanding and crafting policies that reflect the needs and aspirations of both the government and the populace.
The Permanent Commission for Social Dialogue serves as a vital platform for discussing and negotiating social and economic policies that impact Madeira's residents and industries. By engaging in open and continuous dialogue, the commission aims to strengthen the economic resilience and social welfare of the region.
