Additionally, there was an accident involving a motorcycle and a car on Rua do Comboio in Funchal. The motorcyclist, a man, suffered abdominal and pelvic pains and was also taken to the hospital for medical attention. In a domestic incident, a 94-year-old woman was affected by smoke inhalation following a house fire in Ribeira de Machico. The fire had been extinguished by the time the Machico Municipal Firefighters arrived, but the presence of smoke necessitated medical attention for the elderly resident, who was subsequently taken to the hospital.
