Maria Celeste da Silva Ganança, Maria Eugénia de Ornelas, and João Manuel Nunes Atanázio were cherished by their families and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love and community spirit.

Maria Celeste da Silva Ganança

Maria Celeste da Silva Ganança, a resident of Caminho do Lombo da Casada in Ponta do Sol, passed away on April 12, 2026. Her funeral took place on the same day, beginning at the Hospital dos Marmeleiros and proceeding to the chapel of Santo António, Lugar de Baixo, where a mass was held before her burial at the cemetery of Santo Amaro, Lombada. The family expressed their gratitude to all who joined in mourning and announced a memorial mass to be held on April 18, 2026.

Maria Eugénia de Ornelas

Maria Eugénia de Ornelas, originally from Câmara de Lobos and residing at Lar Bela Vista in Funchal, passed away on April 10, 2026. Her funeral was conducted on April 11, 2026, starting from Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça, with a service at the cemetery chapel in Câmara de Lobos. The family thanked the staff at Lar Bela Vista for their care and announced a subsequent mass on April 18, 2026, at the church of Santa Cecília.

João Manuel Nunes Atanázio

João Manuel Nunes Atanázio, a longtime resident of Bairro do Espírito Santo and Calçada, Câmara de Lobos, died on April 9, 2026. His funeral took place on April 10, 2026, beginning at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça and moving to the chapel at the cemetery of Câmara de Lobos. A memorial service is planned for April 13, 2026, at the church of São Sebastião.

Each of these individuals was deeply loved by family and friends, who shared their sorrow and gratitude with the community. These ceremonies not only honor their lives but also reflect the close-knit nature of Madeira's society, where personal connections and communal support are cherished.
