The passing of Jorge Armindo da Luz, Manuel Estêvão Fernandes, and Audete de Jesus Andrade has brought the local community together in a moment of collective remembrance and respect.

Jorge Armindo da Luz

Jorge Armindo da Luz, a resident of Rua Quinta da Aragem in Funchal, passed away on March 7, 2026. His funeral will take place on Sunday, March 8, at the chapel of Nossa Senhora das Angústias cemetery in São Martinho. A devoted family man, Jorge is survived by his wife, Énia Barbeito Góis da Luz, and their son, Jorge da Luz. The family expresses gratitude to the medical staff at the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for their care.

Manuel Estêvão Fernandes

Manuel Estêvão Fernandes, from Vereda do Colmeal, Curral das Freiras, passed on March 6, 2026. A funeral procession will commence from Hospital Dr. João Almada on March 7, proceeding to Nossa Senhora do Livramento church. Known for his friendly demeanor, Manuel leaves behind a close-knit family and community who will gather to celebrate his life.

Audete de Jesus Andrade

Audete de Jesus Andrade, also from Curral das Freiras, passed away on the same day as Manuel. Her funeral arrangements mirror those of Manuel’s, reflecting the community’s shared rituals in times of loss. Her family, deeply rooted in the area, appreciates the support and condolences from friends and neighbors.
