In 2025, the Regional Government of Madeira's health initiatives benefited over 3,750 children and young people, offering vital support and resources to local families.

The Regional Government of Madeira, through its Institute of Health Administration (IASaúde), has successfully implemented a series of health programs that reached more than 3,750 children and young people across the region in 2025. This achievement was highlighted on World Children's Day, reflecting the government's commitment to child health and well-being.

The programs, namely Kit Bebé, +Visão Crianças e Jovens, and +Sorriso, provided essential healthcare products and services. In total, over 78,300 items and health actions were delivered to Madeiran families, with a financial investment exceeding 1.6 million euros. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to enhance health accessibility and quality of life for the island's younger population.

Madeira, a renowned tourist destination, places significant emphasis on the welfare of its residents, particularly children and young people. The programs are designed to support families by reducing healthcare costs and improving access to necessary health services, thus contributing to the overall well-being of the community.

The Kit Bebé program provides newborn essentials, while +Visão Crianças e Jovens focuses on eye care for children and adolescents, and +Sorriso aims to improve dental health. These targeted initiatives ensure that young residents have access to fundamental health services irrespective of their socio-economic status.

By investing in these health programs, Madeira not only supports its local population but also enhances its reputation as a caring and responsible region, making it an attractive destination for both residents and tourists alike.
