On March 17, 2026, the Voluntary Firefighters of Câmara de Lobos were called to Quinta Grande, where they discovered a man in his 70s deceased in his residence. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, and the Public Security Police (PSP) were notified.

Just two days earlier, on March 15, the Voluntary Firefighters of Santana responded to an emergency in SĂŁo Roque do Faial, where a man aged between 50 and 60 was found dead in an agricultural field.
