Child Injured in School Fall

A 10-year-old boy suffered injuries after falling down a staircase at a local school in Funchal. The incident, which occurred in the early afternoon, prompted an immediate response from the Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses. The boy, who complained of back pain and numbness in his limbs, was swiftly transported to the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further medical evaluation.

Motorcyclist Injured in Traffic Accident

Earlier that day, at around 10:23 AM, a 68-year-old motorcyclist was injured in a traffic accident on the Estrada Monumental, a major road known for its scenic views. The accident involved a single vehicle, and the man sustained injuries to his arm and a dislocated leg. Emergency services, including the Bombeiros Sapadores do Funchal, were quick to arrive on the scene and the injured man was taken to the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça.

Fatal Cardiac Arrest in Funchal

In the early hours of the morning, around 3:30 AM, a man in his 70s suffered a cardiac arrest in his home in the Monte area of Funchal. Despite the prompt efforts by the EMIR and Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses, the man could not be revived. The PSP (Public Security Police) was also present to assist with the situation.
