A 10-year-old boy was injured after falling from a staircase at a school in Funchal. The fall resulted in the child experiencing back pain and numbness in his limbs. He was promptly attended to by the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters and transported to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
Motorcycle Crash on Estrada Monumental
Earlier in the day, a 68-year-old motorcyclist was involved in an accident on Estrada Monumental. The incident left him with injuries to his arm and a dislocated leg. Firefighters from Funchal were quick to respond, providing necessary medical attention before transporting him to the hospital.
Fatal Cardiac Arrest in Monte
In a tragic turn of events, emergency services, including the EMIR and Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters, were dispatched in the early hours to a residence in Monte, Funchal. A man in his 70s suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite the swift response and efforts to revive him, the man unfortunately passed away. The PSP has been notified to handle subsequent procedures.
