House Fire in São Martinho
At approximately 15:53, emergency services were dispatched to a residence on Estrada Comandante Camacho de Freitas in São Martinho due to a fire caused by an electrical short circuit. The homeowner effectively extinguished the blaze using a fire extinguisher before the firefighters arrived. Despite the rapid response, nine personnel with three vehicles were on site to ensure the area was safe and the fire was entirely out.
Car Accident on Estrada da Liberdade
Earlier in the day, at around 10:04, a 22-year-old woman was involved in a car accident on the Estrada da Liberdade, near the exit for Pilar. The accident resulted in the woman sustaining injuries to her shoulder and experiencing restricted movement. She was promptly attended to by the firefighters and transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further medical care.
Gas Leak in Santo António
A gas leak was reported at around 9:16 in an apartment on Caminho do Cemitério, Santo António. The situation required the deployment of 11 firefighters and three vehicles to manage and neutralize the leak, ensuring the safety of the residents and the surrounding area.
