Bus Incident on Rua Conselheiro José Silvestre Ribeiro

In the afternoon, a sudden brake on a local bus on Rua Conselheiro José Silvestre Ribeiro led to injuries for two elderly female passengers. A 77-year-old woman sustained a rib fracture, while a 63-year-old woman suffered facial hematoma. Both were promptly taken to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital for treatment.

Motorcycle-Car Collision on Estrada dos Marmeleiros

Earlier in the day, a collision between a motorcycle and a car on Estrada dos Marmeleiros resulted in injuries to both the 39-year-old motorcyclist and the 57-year-old car driver. The motorcyclist suffered spinal and knee injuries, while the driver was treated for shock. Both individuals were transported to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.

Pedestrian Accident in Machico

In Machico, an accident occurred on Rua da Árvore when a woman in her 60s was struck by a vehicle. She sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Machico Health Center for further examination.

Garage Fire on Estrada Comandante Camacho de Freitas

In the early hours, a fire broke out in a garage on Estrada Comandante Camacho de Freitas, destroying one car and damaging two others. Firefighters from both the Voluntary and Sapadores units responded with 11 personnel and three vehicles to control the blaze.
