Father Marcos Rebelo, who was ordained on January 10 at the Sé Cathedral in Funchal, has been appointed as the new parish administrator of Santa Luzia. His appointment follows the resignation of Canon João Pita de Andrade, who stepped down due to health issues. Canon Pita de Andrade had been serving in the Archpriesthood of Funchal.
In another significant change, Manuel Martins, who has been a part of the clergy since 1992, has left his position in São Martinho. These changes reflect the Diocese's commitment to maintaining spiritual and administrative guidance in the parishes, ensuring the well-being of the community.
